Blue Tears - the early years
The first iteration of what would later become Blue Tears began in the fall of 1982, when Gregg Fulkerson (lead guitar) was a senior at Chester County High School and Mike Spears (bass), Bryan Hall (rhythm guitar) and Phil Johns (drums) were students at Freed Hardeman University. Mike and Gregg had become friends years earlier while attending Mid South Youth camp in Henderson. The band was originally called Misfit, but through the next several years the band changed names a few times (NonStop and Sahara) had several vocalists and drummers transition in and out while all remaining friends.
